How will I ever thank you for your sacrifice?

After toiling all day long,
you still walk along.
With a smile on thy face, patience in thy eyes
DAD! How will I ever thank you for your sacrifice?
I kept you awake Countless days and nights.
You bore with my unruly manners and fights
But nothing could earn your despise
MOM! How will I ever thank you for your sacrifice?
p3
Siblings! How I wish I had none
I thought whenever I was so done
Bro/Sis ! But every time you stand by me, I realise
How will I ever thank you for your sacrifice?
p4
I wonder at the abundance of your love
To care for my parents, and then for me all over and above?
You sure must me an angel sent from the paradise
Grandpa! Grandma! How will I ever thank you for your sacrifice?
 p5
My teacher likes it when I say, “I don’t know.”
She toils harder than any, even her sleep she will forgo
She never stops at ‘this will suffice”
Teacher! How will I ever thank you for your sacrifice?
You leave the comfort of your personal kingdom
only to protect and fight for our freedom
you don’t think of dangers imprecise
Oh brave soldier! How will I ever thank you for your sacrifice?
 p6
I will do everything with all my might
To stand up for what is right
and maybe that’s how I thank you for your sacrifice
Oh! Can I ever be worthy of your sacrifice?

    Respected Janet Ma’am,

Thank you so much for your wonderful and heart touching poem which you have written for the soldiers.

Soldiers really get inspired by these kind of wonderful gestures for them to serve better for their country. Hats off to you, Ma’am!

This is how a soldier writes while going to the war front:

“If I Die In A War Zone,
Box Me Up N Send Me Home,
Put My Gun On My Chest,
N Tell My Mom I Did My Best,
N Tell My Dad Not To Bow,
    He Will Never Get Tension
    From Me Now,
    Tell My Bro Study Perfectly,
Keys Of My Bike Will Be his
    Permanently,
Tell My Sis Don’t Be Upset,
Her Bro Will Not Rise After This Sunset,
Don’t Tell My Friends They Are Hearties,
N Start 2 Ask For Parties,
Tell My Love Not To Cry…
“Coz I am A Solider..and I am born to Die!”

Unfortunately and sadly, the soldiers are not given the respect and honour which they deserve in our county. People say that the soldiers are rude in behaviour and they do not have heart with them, they can never go along with the civilians as they are “faujis”,……and so many things.

But…….the fact is that the soldiers still strive for their assigned tasks quietly without getting distracted from peoples’ comments, because for them, THEIR DUTY, INTEGRITY AND LOVE FOR THE COUNTRY IS TOP PRIORITY!

Finally, I would like to let everyone know that a soldier has rightly said that “Don’t come for my funeral to show how much you cared about me….., show how much you care about me NOW……while I am alive!”

    Jai Hind!

Hello Everyone! Isn’t it really a matter of concern that not even a single member of Tatva has something to speak about the Soldiers of India except the writer? We always talk a lot about the soldiers for their sacrifices, but ……..when it comes to show our true love for them through our articles, we take our steps back. Is it so that we also think that soldiers do not have heart as others or we are having some other problems??? Don’t the hard fighting soldiers need our accolades especially during the Independence Day Celebrations (at least)??? Of course we are not duty bound to write, but…….our writings might help boosting the morale of the brave soldiers who safeguard our nation.

    Thank you all.

    Warm regards.

    Dash.
